Dress

Any article of clothing, accessory or jewelry deemed by the teacher to be unsafe, detracting or impeding to the performance of the students is not permitted.

School Dress Code

Our standards for dress and grooming are in keeping with the high Christian ideals which we seek to establish in those who attend our school. The following guidelines do not attempt to embrace every conceivable situation in the realm of dress but are meant to provide a standard for parents, faculty and students.

Our concern is that students should appear well-groomed and properly attired as is appropriate to the situation. Staff have the right to warn students who are not following these guidelines or the spirit thereof, and take action as they deem necessary.

1. Pants
1. All pants must fit properly and be in good repair.
2. No spandex.
3. Baggy shorts must not reveal the body when the student is seated.
4. Waistbands of pants and hem or the shirt must overlap.
5. No undergarment exposure - including boxer shorts.
Shirts and Blouses
1. All tops must be properly fitted, non-revealing nor of sheer fabric.
2. No tank tops - straps must be 2" or more.
3. No bare midriffs.
4. No undergarment exposure.
2. Skirts and Dresses / Shorts
1. All skirts, dresses and shorts must be no more than 3" above the knee or finger length, whichever is longer.
2. They should not be form fitting, clinging nor reveal undergarments.
3. Jewelry and Make Up
1. Jewelry and makeup shall be limited.
2. Jewelry must be safe and in good taste
3. Only ears may be pierced (maximum of 2) - no other body piercing will be permitted.
4. Makeup should be minimal and natural looking
4. Hair
1. Hair must be of a naturally occurring colour. No blues, greens or pinks etc.
2. Hair must be neatly combed and clean.
5. General
1. All clothing is to be modest.
2. All slogans or pictures must be of good Christian character.

Administration will rule on any questionable dress or hair issues or styles.
