Electronic Devices

The use of cell phones and electronic devices has become a major part of life in the new century. No electronic devices are allowed for use during the school day at all unless with the specific permission of a staff member. Students with I-Pods or MP3's must store them in their backpacks or lockers.

A student will be allowed to bring a cell phone to school under the following conditions only:

1. The cell phone must be checked in at the office and will be returned at the end of the day.
2. The cell phone may not be used during school hours.

Parents who need to communicate with their children during school hours are asked to do so through the school office.

Please understand that cell phones/pagers are brought to school at your own risk. These items, as well as other personal items or electronic devices brought to school by students are their responsibility. The school assumes no accountability for lost or stolen personal property.

Students who do not comply with this policy will have the devices confiscated and returned only to a parent or guardian.

1st offence: Returned at the end of that day.
2nd offence: Prior to Christmas - returned at Christmas break
Following Christmas - returned at Summer break
